Hey!
I go by Ars, and I'm an illustrator! As of May 2019, I have a Bachelor's in Illustration and a love of drawing. My favorite subjects are usually dragons, monsters or creatures, but I'm also comfortable drawing humans as well.

Terms and services

In General

  • I have the right to decline a commission.

  • I have the right to cancel a commission, should circumstances demand it.

  • Form-opening commission slots are never first come, first served unless I state otherwise. I will contact those with commissions I'll take on for each round. Commissioners can fill out the form multiple times across multiple openings.

  • Between form openings, I am open to inquiries of quotes and waitlisting.

  • I can make edits to a piece, but only until the lineart phase. Any major edits from there will incur a fee. Any major edits to a piece that's in the final stages (color, rendering), will also result in a fee.

  • I retain original rights to the commissioned piece. Commissioners retain original rights to their characters.

  • Please understand I work in a specific style! I will not mimic another artist's style.

  • Commissions will take varying times to complete. Thank you for your patience!

  • - I DO NOT permit my work to be used under ANY circumstances for the purpose of use in trading cryptocurrency, being used as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), or being used to train any artificial intelligence.

Payment

  • Payment is requested before I start.

  • After contacting you, I'll ask for the email associated with your PayPal to send an invoice.

  • I can receive payment through PayPal and Ko-fi (includes Stripe).

  • Prices WILL vary with complexity.

  • Should a situation arise where I need to cancel the commission, I will contact you followed by a refund when approved.

  • If a commission must be cancelled once I have gone beyond preliminary sketching, 50% of the payment will be refunded.

Usage

  • Commissions are for personal use. If you wish to use my art for advertisement or promotional material, please ask. A fee may occur depending on the circumstances for advertising purposes.

  • Only the commissioner may reupload and use their commission as they see fit. I do allow my art to be used in edits for roleplay-focused ventures by the commissioner.

  • Credit must be visible somewhere.

Other

  • Your commission may be used to further promote my work (Portfolio, display on website, posted to social media, etc.)

  • I post all commissions to my social media, unless otherwise instructed.

  • Please discuss with me if you need a deadline. Price will be affected by this.

  • All prices can and will change without notice at any time. Please acknowledge the up-to-date information when ordering a commission.

  • All art I make, commission or otherwise, is owned by me (the artist). It is not to be used commercially unless inquired.

  • If you request art that is NSFW in nature, both commissioner AND character must be over 18 to have NSFW art of any nature drawn. This applies for gore and fetish based commissions.

Illustration

Given the nature of an illustration, it's difficult to price in general.
General pricing begins at $450 and will vary depending on background elements, character design, and props included.Feel free to message me for a quote!

Illustrations automatically feature a background, but the nature of the background will greatly influence the price.
(The interior of a house would cost more than an outdoor forest scene, for instance. I am open to doing more complexly detailed scenes, but it will require more time and a higher fee for the work.)The amount of the character(s) featured may vary as well depending on the depicted scene.
(A battle may see more of a character, while something focused on detail may only show the bust/upper body.)All illustrations will have multiple thumbnail sketches done to fit any text/ideas given for a particular piece.
(Up to twenty thumbnails can be requested; my definition of a thumbnail is a brief sketch to relay positioning and details outlined in text before continuing to a proper sketch. Colored thumbnails for mood can be requested as well! I am more than happy to discuss as much as possible before moving on from thumbnails into further phases.)

No references are alike, and no mental images are the same.
General price starts at $500.
(Includes a main fullbody image, a reversed fullbody to show the back/underneath arms/wings, a headshot, and a highlight on two features.)If the design already exists (such as a Digimon with color edits/some extra details), please ask!
(This may reduce the price as details are different depending on the species; something like a Digimon or Pokemon would start at about $300.)As I'll be working from text, please keep it as clear as you can.

Work that doesn't really fit any of my previous categories, and could be VERY different from other things I produce.Essentially a 'trust me' type of commission where I experiment and play around a bit with the subject, be it through lighting or way I render something.

Without a doubt, price WILL vary.Due to the nature of this, there will be no refunds once I begin sketching, period.These will only be offered periodically and have limited slots.General pricing begins at $150, and will vastly differ from other examples.
